Weird experience
Okay, so I've been slacking off from posting regularly but it was only because I've been busy practicing for yesterday's performance (it went quite well by the way ^_^). It's like this, from Tuesday till Friday, things have been somewhat pressuring for us VLC's who were in the Robocon performance routine. I'll tell ya at first practically none of us gave a damn if the performance went well or not but when we went for the rehearsal on Thursday and saw....Shirtliff, Xavier, Minimitez (junior of Dynamitez-no idea if I spelt it correctly though =P) and Zircons there performing as well....let's just say....we coudn't bear to do a sucky performance infront of their eyes. Believe me, Shirtliff is still as good as they were last year (which could spell trouble for us this year), Minimitez are also very good for their age so if they by any chance will be in Cheer 2005....it could mean trouble too, as for Zircons....they are improving but what amazes me is their spirit (they've got that spirit alright). The good thing is Xavier seems to be deproving (they've lost their main tumbling power house!!! hehe~). Still, seeing all of those squads perform during the rehearsal that day was nothing relaxing, it sure put the pressure on (especially the newbies in our squad, Jun Kang & Zhen Wei-beats me how to spell his name =P). I don't think I even have to say how they reacted when they got a taste of how the competition would be like in Cheer 2005. I can't even begin to imagine the look on Jasmine and the other's faces if they saw it all that day.
Woke up at 5.45am yesterday morning and got ready (you know....wore my attire, packed my stuff...etc.). Went to Bernice and her sis's house around 6.25 so we could walk to school together. Just my luck, Bernice and I were ready but Denice wasn't, CW, CC and Yik Peng ended up coming to see what was taking us so long, really funny story. Once at school, we practiced a little while waiting for a few others to arrive. The bus came a little later on and everyone got on only to find Minimitez were there too. We were joined by Zircons a little later and boy were they noisy.
It took about an hour to get to PWTC, it wasn't long before we were told to do what we were supposed to do-cheer on the team we were assigned to cheer for. We did all sorts of cheers, whatever came to our minds...you get the picture. 'Go, Fight, Win' was most likely the cheer we used the most that day. It was also the only cheer with stunts in it =P. At first, I didn't really get what was so interesting about robots picking up balls and putting it into the torches but things brightened up a little once I understood the game better. Us VLC's were cheering for the BLUE team while Shirtliff cheered for the RED one at first. We saw Minimitez perform later on, I sorta pity them for what happened though....the stupid DJ got the sound system mixed up (or something like that). They had to start their routine all over again.
After cheering on a few teams, we got our rest while Zircons cheered instead. They were extremely spirited, cheering practically every second, jumping around waving poms, screeming into megaphones. Wow, I was impressed but hey, it explains their noisy-ness in the bus. We practiced somemore after breakfast and did our best when it was time for our first performance of the day. Things weren't all that bad but a few stunts didn't go up. My basket-toss was a little weird too, fell on Kitty and he fell down =P (sorry again Kitty, hope your wrist is better). Of course, nobody was really hurt so no worries~ After us was Shirtliff's turn on stage, unfortunately we didn't get to see them. Still, no big deal, they performed again a little later.
We ended up having to cheer a few more teams after our first performance before eating lunch (the food there taste like prison food). After we ate, CW and the others decided to try out a few of the stunts for the upcoming Cool-zone competition, and since neither Muffin or Mitra were there....me and CC got to be the experiments of the day (how fun ^_^). It's really cool, CW can actually chair me by just throwing me upwards (I have to jump of course). At the end of the whole thing, all the squads had to perform one last time. We were the last and this time when we performed....it was a lot better, all the stunts went up!!!~ Still, there were a few mistakes including mine (I messed up the Britney dance =P). Still, the performance went great, KH and CC agreed that we gave one of the better performances that time. Everyone was really relieved once the performance was over. Denice and Bernice went home once we all got our pay of RM100 and Tharma even got Dina's autograph. After that, we all did some stunt practicing before gettin changed to some normal clothes. While waiting for Zircons and Minimitez to finish whatever they were doing, us VLC's had a little discussion. It turns out CW told me that he actually wanted to put me in the Cool-zone performance instead of Bernice (wow...I'm flattered, still it doesn't change much). CW also said that a lot of squads happen to be in a way, a little weakened this year (considering Xavier's performance yesterday, I'd say this is true). So, that means that us VLC's should take this opportunity to win it this year (and believe me, I plan to~).
We took a few pics with Zircons and Minimitez before heading back on the bus. Much to our liking, there were no teachers this time so it became quite an experience on the way home. Practically a party if I say so myself. After such a tiring day, I'm still finding it hard to believe the Zircons still had energy enough to cheer and scream in the bus the way they did all the way home. A few of them were asking for some of our contact no.'s. Either way, we all made some new friends. However, there were a few who were kinda tired of the noise they were making, Kitty in particular. I also got some comments on my basket-toss once they found out it was me who did it =P (hehe, they were impressed~). A good sign.
Once I got home, I was really really tired. Ate dinner, took a bath, read a little of one of my bro's books (hey, I haven't much to do at home) before catching some Z's. Heh, can't wait to tell the other juniors of the squad about this. Wonder what they'll think. Oh well, this is most definitely the longest of my posts so far. Think I'll stop here before someone gets bored. Heh.

Back it up!! See what we're made of!!!
It's Saturday!!! (PRACTICE~!!! =P). The girls made quite a few improvements today, really happy with the progress made by Sofia and Amirah but Jasmine still needs work. CC and I must have practiced our stunt for about close to a hundred times today, it was really tiring but ya, it was successful (kinda). The guys were improving too, KH, WY and Jer can finally stay up together (sometimes). Their stunts look really cool....UCA style man!!! DAMN JEALOUS!!!! XD. I seriously think the guys might win one of the top 3 positions in this year's competition (Cheer 2005-of course that is if they can pull the entire routine off, flawless).
Things are finally looking up VLC's, back it up now!!!! Who knows, I think we can keep up after all~
So things were pretty much going our way today but there was one question almost everyone was asking me that I coudn't give an answer to...."where was muffin?". Muffin was really late for practice today, but nobody could blame her. She was a little sick (most likely because of the rain yesterday). Get well soon muffin~ =). After we practiced our Cheer 2005 routine, the members involved with the 'Robocon' performance finally started learning the routine (including me). It's okay I guess but Mitra who was left in charge since KH wasn't there anymore, couldn't make out what he wrote and got confused with the positioning and stuff so we decided to do the stunts instead. The stunts could use a little more work but ya, it's okay.
Nothing of interest in music class today but I'll tell ya something....I'm improving!! =P (hehe, I know you all probably don't care but I'm just telling). When I got home, went online again only to find muffin was on. Chatted with her a while before going offline to take a little nap (hey, I was beat!).
We went to gym class later on, warmed up by dancing-I still think I look weird. Did all the usual strength works (I do not appreciate the 'monster' comment kitty!!!), stretches, tumblings (front handspring looking good-sorta). Also got to try 'back handspring' today~ It was fun~~~^_^. When it was time for stunts, Sue Yenn made us practice our 'extension liberty' again. It's getting somewhere and some of the girls can do it now, just a little more practice and things should be fine~ However, the guys were way ahead of us-twist cradle people!!! Us girls have so got our work cut out for us, the improvement is good but we still need more, I'm hoping against all odds now. I also hope Jasmine's alright, it didn't seem like a hard fall (like da...she fell on the mat). Still, she was near tears, really hope her injury isn't serious.
Before our class ended, I got to try my 'basket toss' on the girls (CC & Sue Yenn were my bases with Jo as spotter-could you ask for a better group of bases? I think not-for girls that is). It turned out quite good, still needs improvement (what doesn't?) but I'm not so worried about that.
Once I was home, well....I ate dinner, took a bath and did well....'this' (you get the picture). I know I talk a lot about cheer nowadays but right now, it's the main thing that I care about. I really wanna win any one of those 3 positions, Champion, 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up....it doesn't matter, I just want either one!!! I know you other VLC's want it too. Competition's only a few months away..., so bring it!!!

Can you keep up? (my answer is 'I dunno')
So Tuesday wasn't very interesting all in all. All I did was go to school, learn the normal stuff, went home from school, did all my homework, went online, watched a little TV, went to tuition at night and went to Dreamland once I was home (this is obviously how a normal Tuesday goes like for me =P). Boring huh? Sure is.
Today however was a little more interesting. School was not much of a difference from yesterday except to my delight, there was no homework~ (YEAH, LIFE IS FINALLY GOOD!!! =P). Still, couldn't relax once school ended. There was practice for those who were involved in the 'Robocon' (did I spell that right?) performance (which I happen to be in since muffin & Mitra dropped out for certain reasons-Is that good or bad?). I for one, somehow don't feel like I'm good enough to be in this performance, kinda worried but I suppose I'll just have to see what happens and deal with it the way I always did in the past.
The Robocon practice ended at 3.30pm and our normal VLC practice took place (meaning I had to stay on longer than most people). We split up again (boys & girls) and worked on our stunts after everyone was done stretching. Sue Yenn made us do 'liberty extensions' today, with her, CC and Jo as the bases, muffin and Mitra were finally successful in doing the stunt~ (good job!! ^_^). I still need to work on my strength a little more, I'm almost there!! What I woudn't do to have kitty's strength during Cheer 2005, that'd be good (not like it's possible). The guys did quite good too, had a nice time watching them do their thing. I honestly think they're moving a lot faster than the girls and yea I am a bit jealous but who can blame me? (the guys are really good even though they won't admit it).
After a short break, Sue Yenn made some of the girls use the poms to rehearse a part of our cheer routine (fellow VLC's should know which part). I on the other hand ended up spotting the guys while they tried out their stunt. KH's set seems pretty good, they didn't make many mistakes; WY's was okay but I guess on account of the new guy things were a little weird; for Jer, he so needs more practice (no offence). They all just keep taking turns, one moment this guy goes up and the other one doesn't (basically, all 3 just don't go up and stay up together-if you know what I mean =P). I remember at one point when WY was the only one left standing up there and went something like "Wah...I'm the only one who made it" (not like I remember what exactly he said but it was something along those lines =P), did a 'peace' sign and fell backwards (so much for the "only one left standing").
Us girls practiced our dance later on (my dancing is so weird T_T). Oh well, there's still time, practice makes perfect so that's that. Really, as many times as muffin and Mitra tried to teach me how to move my head it's still not very good right now (still hoping I get it =P). Besides this, CW also said that there would only be 6 girls in the upcoming 'Cool-zone' competition. It's actually co-ed and I really wanna go but as it is, CW says he needs flyers and between Bernice and me, who is better at it? Bernice has more experience in flying than I do (probably because she's been a flyer about a year longer than I have =P) so odds are she might get in and I might get out but hey, I've said this before "not like I know what the future holds". Just hoping for the best, wish me luck~

Feelings of change
Hey there! So I don't blog as usual as I did some time ago, big deal, this thing's a journal (not a diary). You know, I never really realized how much I have to say about the daily happenings in my life till about a few days ago....weird.
About yesterday, us VLC's had our usual Saturday practice, the guys and girls spilt up once more to learn up our Cheer 2005 routines. The girls are finally getting somewhere, we finished learning our cheer routine but of course, we haven't mastered up the stunts yet. The newbies need some serious work but we've still got a few months to train them up. I hope Sue Yenn finishes the entire routine by the end of this month, then we can use the remaining time to master up stunts and put it all together. If we play our cards right I know we can do it~ Oh and the guys? They seem fine (maybe even better than fine). Please, the guys are doing a lot better than the girls in my opinion, their dance is cool, their music is cool, their cheer is way way cool (basically, everything about their routine is cool-if they can pull their entire routine off, my prediction is Shirtliff is so gonna have to kiss that trophy goodbye this year [something I'm sure every other squad would love to see]). I dunno why but I'm seriously looking forward to Cheer 2005, even if we don't win, being there and having the chance to perform on that blue mat is an amazing feeling. I might have been disappointed about last year but things are gonna change. I'll tell ya, I'm gonna smile like crazy even if I fall like I did on the recent Sport's Day performance. I promise I will.
Back to the present, after practice, there was no music class seeing as my teacher had some personal business or something. I used that time to go online but there was nothing much to do so I took a little nap instead (hey, I haven't had a decent night sleep since Monday because of all my activities). Woke up at 5.00pm and got ready for gym. My front-handspring still works but not very consistent (I still need more practice). Still, I'm getting there. I actually followed the guys in jumps that day by doing double whips and pikes instead of toe-touch and herkey's (I'm so bad =P). So sue me, I'm just pushing myself to the limit, nobody can blame me for wanting to be as good as Eric in jumps =P. Went home after gym and did my usuals.
Today however, Cessy woke me up by stepping on my leg (ouch!). I followed the rest of my family out for breakfast at Subang Parade this morning. We went shopping for a few stuff later on and even got a free massage (on a massage chair-it was nice~). My mom got her B-day present from us (me, my dad & bro), she got a necklace, a bracelet and a pair of earrings (all gold), I hope she liked it ^_^~ As for me, I got a necklace too (gold....like da =P) and a new HP....hehe =P, my bro didn't get anything yet but will on Thursday when the stock for some Mp3 player he's been eyeing arrives. We also ran into 2 of our cousins while we were there-Nazwan & Shazwina (for some reason I can't remember how to spell their names so if it's wrong....just ignore it-directed to muffin). After lunch at McDonald's, I spent the rest of the day trying to relax since it was raining and I couldn't go online. Missed my chance to say goodbye to Kei this time but I suppose there's always next time.

S-P-I-R-I-T....Spirit...let's hear it!!!!
Phew, finally have time to blog again. Been super busy with all the school projects I had to do (especially since the dateline was even nearer than before). Guess I'll just talk about the recent Sports Day performance by us VLC's (not like what happened on Wednesday or today were interesting anyway)
Sports Day was held on Thursday (31th March-also my Mom's B-day). Basically, for us morning session students, it was just like a normal school day with a few (or a lot) changes:1) Everyone was wearing PJ clothes instead of uniforms (like da....who'd be stupid enough to go to Sports Day in school uniform?).
2) We were all at MPSJ and not school.
3) There were no lessons!!! (this was almost the best part~)
Muffin and I met with the others at MPSJ at around 7.30am. We did our stretches and warmed up while waiting for everyone to come (namely WH & Tharma who were in perbarisan). We practiced a few stunts here and there, Sue Yenn and Jo seemed really worried about their elevators but they were doing fine. I practiced my basket toss too (and as always...attracted attention by doing it =P).
Later on however, when KH, WY and I were trying to see if the badminton net nearby would help in strength work or something (not a good idea...really), KH said something that kinda stunned me in a way. Can't say if WY was stunned about it or not (hey, I ain't no mind reader). Honestly, am I predictable or something? Or was the way I acted when we were all in the library together that day a little over the top?? Well, whatever it is, I'm still finding it hard to believe he knows!!!!
Anyway, here come the best part. Once every VLC was present, we got changed and did our thing on the dance floor (it wasn't really a dance floor =P). Things started out really good during the first dance, the cheer was pretty good too. I recall smiling like crazy (believe me, I felt like a Barbie doll!). The 3 storey stunt went up well (why woudn't it? afterall, muffin was the star~). Once the second dance started, it was my turn to shine~ Hehe....BASKET TOSS!!! (wasn't it nice? ^_^~). Things picked up from there only getting better till the middle when WH forgot his position during the 180 elevator, Mitra didn't get to go up but I guess it was okay. The only truly sad part of this routine to me would probably be the finisher when I fell down =P. At first, I went up okay but Mitra lost her balance and accidentally knocked me down (kinda funny when you think about it~). At least I fell only after the music ended so it wasn't so bad (oh yeah....I am not hurt or injured in anyway, thank you~).
Really, if I'm not famous in school now I'd be pretty amazed. I mean, a lot of people saw our routine that day and if you asked me, what I did would most likely stand out somehow (I'm not bragging by the way, just stating a fact). The way I see it, I could be famous for 2 different reasons....
1) for doing that basket toss
and
2) for being the only one who fell down during the entire routine =PTake your pick~
PS: We did other stuff on that day too but it pretty much went down hill because of my Geo project so....you get the picture =).
